Two promises, one certificate
Your guarantee has two layers. The first is ours: if something we supplied or fitted fails within 10 years, we come back and repair it. The second is an insurance policy standing behind that promise. Should we ever close, the insurer takes over and the remaining years carry on.
That second layer is the whole point. A promise from an installer that no longer exists is worth nothing. With a policy behind it, you stay covered whether or not we are still around.
You do not pay for it separately. Every price we publish already includes it.
Covered
The guarantee protects the materials we supply and the work we do:
- Leaks where rain gets past a panel, a panel joint, a roof light gasket or the flashing on the house wall.
- Faulty panels, for example a skin lifting away from the foam, or the outer coating flaking or bubbling in ordinary weather.
- Our workmanship, from trims, fixings and gaskets to any roof lights, spotlights, gutters or fascia that were part of your order.
- Frame repairs we made, as long as they appeared on your written price.
If a problem is covered, the repair costs you nothing: no call out charge, no labour and no parts.
Outside the cover
None of this is buried in small print. Most of it belongs with your home insurance, and the rest we will have flagged before the job.
- Frame problems you chose not to fix. If the surveyor wrote down a fault in the frame, walls or base and you decided against the repair, damage that fault causes is not covered.
- Accidents and severe weather. A falling branch, a storm far beyond the usual, fire, or someone climbing on the roof.
- Neglected gutters. When leaves pile up, rainwater has nowhere to go and can creep back under the edge. Keeping them clear is your side of the deal.
- Work by others. Anything drilled into or fixed to the panels by someone other than us, and damage from later building work.
Real situations, and who to call
| What happens | Covered? | Who to call |
|---|---|---|
| A drip appears by the house wall in the second winter | Yes | Us |
| The seal around a roof light fails after six years | Yes | Us |
| A panel's outer finish starts to bubble | Yes | Us |
| A branch falls on the roof in a gale | No | Your home insurer |
| A satellite dish fitter drills through a panel | No | The fitter, then us for a repair price |
| Gutters overflow after two autumns without clearing | No | Us for a price, and a ladder for next year |
Not sure which row you are in? Get in touch anyway. We would rather come and look than leave you guessing.
How to claim in four steps
- Tell us. Email hello@larkspurconservatoryroofs.co.uk or use the contact page. Include your name, your address and roughly when the roof went on.
- Send photos. A couple of pictures of the problem mean our fitter turns up with the right parts.
- We visit. At a time you choose, we track down what went wrong and talk you through the fix.
- We fix it. Anything the guarantee covers is free. If the fault turns out to fall outside it, you get a price and a choice before any work starts.
Were we ever to close, you would send those same details to the insurer printed on your certificate.
A leak cannot wait for a dry spell. Put a bowl under the drip, move anything precious out of the way and contact us the same day.
Keeping your cover valid
A panel roof asks for very little. Five habits keep it sound and keep the guarantee alive:
- Scoop out the gutters twice a year: late autumn, once the trees are bare, and again when spring arrives.
- Wash the panels with a soft brush and warm soapy water when they look dull. Skip the pressure washer, because it can force water past seals.
- Keep ladders, feet and knees off the roof.
- Ask us before anything is fixed to or drilled into a panel.
- Report a problem soon after you spot it, while it is still small.
Our guide to looking after an insulated roof has a simple yearly routine.
Where the guarantee sits in your paperwork
Two documents arrive after fitting. Our guarantee certificate comes from us, and the completion certificate comes from the council once their inspector is happy. Store them with your deeds. If you ever sell, the buyer's legal team will expect to see both. The week by week timeline shows when each one turns up, and our price breakdown lists the guarantee as one of the five parts of every price.
Questions
Who do I contact about a claim if you have stopped trading?
The insurer printed on your certificate. Give them the same details you would give us: your name, address, fitting date and photos of the problem.
Does the guarantee cover my existing conservatory frame?
No, the frame is not ours. It does cover any frame repair we carried out that was listed on your written price.
Is there a charge to register the guarantee?
No. The guarantee is part of every price, and the certificate reaches you with the rest of your paperwork once the roof is on.
Will a satellite dish or aerial on the roof affect my guarantee?
Anything drilled into or fixed to the panels by someone else is outside the cover. Ask us first and we will tell you how it can be done safely.
